A Phone software defect

😢 I really like some of the attributes of this phone but i have run into a problem. My carrier has sent me 4 new ones, they all have the same issue:
When someone calls me and the id doesn't bring up there name (our area code has changed), i simply select their number from the call log, choose save, update existing,..... and all h breaks loose. i cannot get to a spot in the contact list by pressing the letter (c takes me to e, r to the end of the list etc), and when i scroll to the desired contact and press OK, i end up saving the number under some other contact, always "up" the list! nobody can seem to figure this out, and now they tell me i will need a patch from the manufacturer that could take years!?!?
help!

i figured it out. the software cannot deal with multiple numbers per name. 🙄 only in the [save] [update existing] functionallity. it works fine when findin a contact using [contacts] verizon is refusing to offer money back or an alternate phone because they "have no other phone in this class" 👿 . I wish i could treat my customers like that and stay in business!! they say it could take two years to get a patch 😳

i noticed it worked fine if you have all of your contacts in their as 10 digit numbers, if you leave off the area code or put a 1 in front of the number it screws things up

well here is a thought, maybe put them in seperate, say, x cell, x home. sounds like that would solve the issue
