V Or S?
Is this really that much smaller to warrant ignorance of the lower-end features?
...
no its not. its virtually the same size. its chunky. thats done on purpose to apeal to its target demographic: rednecks, nextel converts, construction and service industry workers. but basically you are paying for shock and water resistance. Its functionally retarded and needs a revision of spec. or deletion from the lineup.

Whoa there guy it's a phone for outdoor enthusiast too, and will serve its purpose well for many, especially with the added bluetooth.

yes i would agree, Sgt. However I owned the phone for a bit and no phone serves any man's purpose if it drops calls in otherwise strong signal areas. Go check out the reviews. my review will give you some background on my opinion.

Wow 😲 sounds like a pos... complete opposite of the Type-V that I own and swear to be the best phone I have ever used on Verizons network, and I have been a customer since Air Touch!! and have owned countless phones...
anyways the Type V has the most amazing call clarity and ear piece volume of any phone that I have ever used, so to hear it Type-S drops calls even with the dumbed down features is shocking to hear.
Well I will be hanging on to my Type-V and hopefully the next gen they will get it right.
to bad you didn't get a chance to use the Type-V 🙂

Seems like verizon went backwards on this one.
I've had the V for a while and love it. Yes, it's big, but it works. You can't kill this thing.
I played around with the S for a while and didn't like it. The camera is horrible and I don't like the way the buttons are laid out. Also, it's not that much smaller.
If you MUST have bluetooth then I guess get the S. Otherwise the V is a better phone.
Get'm while they last.

the v is a better phone but nobody bought of even looked at it when it launched because it was over $300 with contract. everyone loves it now that you can get one for dirt cheap. it is a nice phone but the target market for the phone is construction workers and industrial markets. they don't want vcast or a 2.0mp camera but they do want a phone they can afford

you can get them like new on ebay for 200 a pop 🙂

So what's funny is that, after reading so many people complain the S was a big step down from the V -- it seems the Boulder is a step down from even the S. Clarity is constantly declining.
A tiny little part of me almost wants to buy a V on eBay and get it connected.
