Has anyone had to pay a rediculous deposit with Helio, knowing their credit wasn't bad???

I asked them about it... they asked for 150.. they guy said that they may ask all the way up to 700 bones... but that he'd never seen someone have to pay it...

...on the other hand, sprint took my deposit and didn't hold onto it, they just took my first 3 bills from it. However, Verizon asked for one THOUSAND dollars from me and another of my friends (neither of us having very bad credit)...

I think they're doing it to get more people on the bandwagon.

currently theyre doing this great thing if you have BAD CREDIT. You pay only $70, which is pretty great for Helio customers

but not great for me... I don't have horrible credit and I had to pay $150... less than verizon or sprint ever asked for... but still. So I would have to call your statement: BUNK.

sorry to hear that. In Chicago, IL even people without a credit history can get the $70 one time credit fee. which is pretty neat considering that other carriers wouldnt even take you at all if you did not have a credit history.
