I have to say I would of liked it to. But after getting it I like it allot. The best phone by far I have had. The memory card is nice but its slow to access. I like that I have 1 gig of memory in the phone and no delay in accessing the info. My wife has a fusic and I don't like when I access the card it takes like forever!

hmmm why a memory card ? NO CABLES and Potentially no Propritary crap.

Just POP the memory card out and pop it into my USB reader. (usb mass spec built in interfaces are almost always insanely slow compared to a straight up Memory Card Reader.

I like that kind of freedom and independance. it also would mean I could put in 2gig or if it still have the 1 gig that would make it possible to do 3gig !!!

I also am leaning toward the 610 but I so love sanyo phones. the deciding factor for me will be waiting to find it in the store to see just how THICK is really is.

Please I have so much on my phone I don't know what to do with it all. You don't need over 1 gig. Not to mention its USB 2.0 and its very fast. You know whats slow? A phone reading from a memory card. I hate it with my wifes fusic. If you need more then a gig you need more of a life and not memory on a phone!

I have to agrre with wombough. If you want massive amounts of storage on your phone, what you really need to do is buy an iPOD. I shortened the cable that came with the phone and turned it into a dongle, and I am more than happy with the amount of internal memory, and the transfer speeds using USB 2.0. It took me 4 times as long to dump 1GB of info onto my treo's SD card using a reader, and an eternity doing it through the phone.

If I ever feel that this phone is inadequate, I just look at the motorola micro-tac sitting on my desk, and immediately feel better about it.

its really not about the amount of space but the type of space. I could live with the 1gig internal but would have preferred one gig external. it gives ME the end user more control more say in how things work and more flexibility.

I would have rather seen them lower the price $50 and drop the 1gig for a MSD slot.

Am I sensing a little buying remorse ? why else would you make such a pointless reply ?

anyway the issue is I like options and internal memory reduces my options.

AS I already said and you clearly ignored the fact that its sanyo OFFSETS this no sd card downfall a bit

the deciding factor for me will certaintly not be you or your pointless statements but on how BIG the phone is. there is still ZERO means to determine just how big the damned thing is until I can see it in the store OR from multiple angles sitting right next to say an A900 my current phone so I can visualize its dimensions.

Need to grow up man. a phone is not the end of the world. (but limitations on user choices can certainly make it more miserable)

What I said as you so missed was I am happy they did not go with a SD card. I bought it because it had 1gig of internal memory. Would 1gig internal and aa sd card be good sure but I know I wouldn't come close to putting that much on a phone. Its a phone. I love the phone. Its the best one I have had and had allot since 20011. And its not big at all. ALl these people saying its so big. Then you got the others saying its to small. Its a little fatter then the LG Fusic and allot shorter. You got 30 days anyway so buy it try it and if you don't like it trade it.
