Please Help with USB Transfer

I just got my M1 and work for Sprint, but this is driving me insane. I have read just about every thread in every site to try and figure out how to put music from CD's on my phone. Bear with me as I have never had an IPOD or anything, that's why I got this phone. First off, the music is already Ripped in Windows Media Player. Everyone says to just plug in the USB to phone and computer and drag and drop the files I want. Sounds simple, but when I plug in, NOTHING happens, says Drivers not found. So I searched and found the correct drivers from Sanyo, installed them on my computer and still have NO IDEA where I'm supposed to "Drag and Drop" my files? I did notice the Mass Storage option from the phone, but I have no idea what that means....

You should not need a driver to use your phone in Mass Storage mode. That is the mode you want to choose to use "drag and drop". However, files cannot simply be moved from CD to phone...they must be "ripped". You can use windows media player to do this, but you have to go into the options and force it to rip MP3's, otherwise, it will make wma's, and I am not sure if the phone plays them.

I started to do the Mass Storage option from the very begining and it froze up my phone after a few minutes of being idle, that's why I figured I did something incorrect. Are you saying that all I need to do is plug in the USB and then select the Mass Storage option on my phone, then I can drag and drop? All music is already Ripped into MP3 format, I figured that part out earlier, after my phone froze I figured the Mass Storage was for something different as it froze up the phone.
