Your question was already answered. 40MB is for downloads, thats it. The 1GB is for music and media only.

well thanks a lot...but to be honest my question was only half answered before....u answered it completely just now.....before i was only told that the 40 mb was for downloads....but i didn't get a response to the 1 gb.....again i thank you.....for a complete answer...🙂

I want going to reply but I couldn't help myself. You know the phone has one gig. You asked how much for downloads and I said 40 mb. Did you think there is 1.4 gigs of memory on the phone? There is only 1 gig. So when I said 40 that meant 40 out of the gig can be used for downloads. When you start a thread maybe say you have no clue about electronics and I will break it down Barney style. Not meant to be mean!!!

well not to be mean either...but i do know a little about electronics....i am not that stupid as u seem to think....i said what i meant...it was a misunderstanding from what i have read on the phone....from what i have read....all info on the phone seems to state that there is seperate memory....40 mb...plus 1 gig....so i am not that stupid....and maybe u should break it down yourself when u answer a question...meaning that not everyone is as highly educated and as understanding when it comes to electronics as u are....so break it down from the beginning and don't assume that everyone knows all of what u know....🙂

Pretty straight forward to me! I don't know it all. I read everything I can. And I read that above from phone scoop.

yea i read it too...but others sites say different ...so i wanted to ask someone that had the phone themselves.....so i would definately know what's going on....is that so bad...or to hard to understand...🙂

actually no. Because the way phone scoop has It I understood it perfectly. But then when I read Sanyo's website It can be interpreted the way you were at first. So I think the only thing to do is wait until someone has used all 1gig and see if you can still download I guess!

well the question is NOT answered and its an IMPORTANT ONE is the 40mb SEPERATE or INTEGRATED ie is it 1gig for media PLUS 40mb (like MOST phones are) or is it 1gig of WHICH 40mb of that 1gig is dedicated to RINGERS etc.. (this is IMPORTANT since it opens the possibility of HACKING IT to EXPAND the amount it will utilize for downloaded content if its SHARED memory while if its SEPERATE memory there really is not much chance of expanding it ?

Yes I answered it maybe it was another thread. It is separate. You have 1.04 gigs of space!

same to you and I should correct it to 1.04gigs. As it has 1040mb. Not 1400mb!
