Is there any chance that Palm will come out with a windows version of this phone like they did with the 700? I really like the overall appearance of this phone, but I am not a fan of the Palm operating system. It does not meet my multi-media needs. Any information is appreciated.

I am new to Palms and PDA's alltogether. I am currently trying out the 680. I know this one has Palm OS vs. the 750 which has Microsoft...but what is the difference in how this software operates? I have not tried anything complicated yet, but it is important that I am able to sync the 680 with my Microsoft Word and Excel programs at work. I just need to be able to access and "mildly" edit the Excel worksheets from my phone. Is this going to be a problem using the Palm OS software? At this point, I am not sure how to sync it anyway...I suppose I start with connecting the USB cable. But I really don't want to shell out an extra $200 for the 750 when this may be the only problem... Can anyone offer any help?

Compare Software on each device 680 and 750.

The Treo 750 has Window Mobil Outlook and Mobile Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc.).

Hello Lynnderson, Just copy your Excel or Word files from your computer onto a SD card then put the SD card in your Treo. Now open your "Documents To Go" application and your files will be there for you. Its that easy.
