The Pearl came out today at cingular. Now I am stuck. I have heard great things about the Pearl. Which one should I get, the 680 or Pearl?

first thing you need to ask yourself is how much are you willing to spend on a data plan.

while PDA connect is what they say you have to use...mediamax works just fine with the 680 and is cheaper.

Second, i prefer a full qwerty keyboard, and for that reason i would take the 680. If you want a BB i say go with the 8700c because that phone was amazing but i just got tired of paying the BB data prices.

You can get push email on both so youre safe either way there.

You get a bigger and better screen resolution with the 680.

Theres no IR on the BB.

But the BB has a better camera, although I dont use my camera on my phones, but maybe you do.

Both have Edge data speed so equal there.

I say go with the 680.

Thanks, ya im thinking the 680 also. Im not a huge internet on my phone person. Maybe email which is only 5 bucks extra a month. Your right the BB plans are too much. Plus if I wanted a camera Id buy a real camera.

This one isnt even close.............Ive used the BB and I own a 650. Even the 650 with its quirks blows away the BB. Ive already ordered my unlocked 680. Nothing out there is easier to navigate thru than Palm and touchscreens rule...............

Can you give a critique of it?? Im curious to see if the improved underbelly reduces the number of crashes and resets over the 650. Also, is the 680 BLAZER really faster than the 650? I like the move of the sd card to the side (Im always popping mine out by accident), but Im not a fan of having to remove the battery now in order to remove/install SIM card..............wonder why they did that...............

Its truly a great device so far. Im very pleased. Navigation is so easy, the screen in so clear and bright. I never used the treo 650, but i can surely tell you this thing is quick and cooperative to all that i want to do with it. It fits great in your hands, and the SD card slot is great because the card is safe and secure. The keyboard is vividly backlit, and easy to use. I am very pleased. I have no complaints or regrets from buying this device.

Did you really just use IR as a selling point?
