Help! $5.99 Tmobile Internet plan?
Hi, I've asked all over the place and haven't gotten a straightforward answer. I am planning on getting either the Wing or the Dash and right now I am confused between the $5.99 internet plan and the other expensive ones.
What CAN'T I do on the $5.99 plan that I can with the more expensive ones?
Can I still access Yahoo, Google, and other common sites with the $5.99 plan? If so then why would anyone get the more expensive plan?
Also will I be able to check my email under the $5.99 plan? According to T-mobile's website it says that I can which makes me ask the question again, why get the more expensive plan.
For me I don't really want to "SURF THE WEB" on my phone, I just want to be able to check my email, get the weather, or s...

From what I understand, the $5.99 plan is not intended for smartphones, or even the sidekicks. I think it's more for flips like the RAZR. It will give you access to WAP sites, not websites. I don't think you have an option, it's decided by which phone you have.

yea that plan will be converted into the total internet plan for 29.99.

I can tell you from personal experience that the $5.99 T-Zones plan will DEFINITELY not work with this phone. You have to get the Unlimited for smartphones plan at $29.99

The T zones is low level browsing, the Wing's browser is meant to handle a stronger signal. Basically, the phone can, but T-Mob restricts it by not including the settings. If the access settings could be changed, it might work, but I don't know how customizable the browser is...

I have a grandfathered internet plan for $4.99 a month and I use it on my mda. Im with the orignal poster, I need to save money. I have n older Family Talk plan and it already $150 a month for 3 lines. Adding another $30 a month is gonna break my budget. The internet works of, but its not the best thing in the world. I just put in the ip address and it works fine. Can I not do that with the wing?
