Garbage
How could anyone buy this? I dont get it.
WOW i cant beleive anyone would buy anything with Windows Mobile on it. its horrible, slow.
I had the Dash and the old MDA...then i tried a Nokia E50...all i can say is once you go nokia you never go back!
Oh and the reason i didnt want the Wing is because id rather have a brick in my pocket.
This can do nothing more than the Tmobile Dash people (besides the touch screen)

Better camera and better operating system too, but I agree Windows Mobile sucks, I went from PC to Mac years ago and will never go back...

When i say garbage i mean more like a disapointment. If your gonna release a MDA upgrade...make it faster atleast.
As far as WM5 vs WM^ i see no real difference between the 2. Unless the Wing has a different version.
To each his own. Funny thing is i love the DASH as a phone. But the WM6 makes it stink in my eyes. If it had s60 it would be perfect.

I don't think T-Mobile should come out with anymore "Smart" phones until they roll out HSDPA.
here in cleveland they're getting blown out of the water by AT&T and Verizon and Sprint in the fight for businesses and business users (the people who end up buying phones like this one) because their network is amazingly slow compared to the competition.
the question halfway-intelligent users will ask is why would i buy this phone from T-mobile when i can get a similar phone with at&t at a similar price? is windows mobile 6 that much better that it makes up for the speed and connectivity deficiencies?
this really isn't even an argument about wm6 vs. wm5. it's the fact that t-mobile isn't taking full advantage of the capabilities of...

I don't think this is garbage, but I don't think its cutting edge, you would think with TM rolling out their UMTS in the US, they would have included that in this phone. HTC makes phones under their name, rebands to carriers and for other phone makers, it wouldn't have been hard at all to have had TM makes this phone with 1700/2100 umts for their system.
And as far as WM being slow, Symbian isn't exactly fast, each have their benifits and problems.

This is a full featured phone just released today and is already proclaimed by expert like you as garbage. A phone is just a phone, no meed to be so eager to influence other people's opinion, don't you think? 🙂

Out of them all my nokia e50 in black is my favorite. I cannont name 1 thing that the wm5 or wm6 phones do better than my nokia. And s60 is kinda slow to but never freezes or jams or ever gets extremely slow. As far as phones they are all good, but once the software is added nokia blows them all away.
So i think my opinion means something.

I'm not a huge fan of windows mobile, but I will take it over my Pearl's lack of the ability to load websites like Phonescoop anyday. The only problem I've had so far with the demo from my store is it has issues loading up the post a comment page on LiveJournal, other than that it's been great.
I have to agree about Nokia's in general. I have the 5300 as my main phone and if it had email capabilities I wouldn't need to have a separate device for my email.

Check and see if you can install Gmail on it. The gmail application is Excellent. I hear the Nokia 5300 is a great phone in general.

You can install it, but you can't use it. For once it's not a T-Mobile lock out either, it's Nokia lock out. They won't let you use any third party software on it.
I checked with my Nokia rep who is pretty good about helping us with stuff like this and he said there's nothing that can be done. Even the non-branded version won't let you use it.

download the os browser and phonescoop will work fine. you get get it free off of pinstack.

I did and it still didn't help. I also tried Opera Mini and had some success, but still had some issues. I exchanged the device for a different issue and hoped it would kill 2 birds with 1 stone, but no such luck.
