random MEdia net in wireless manager!??

I just began using the blackjack.
PROBLEM/QUESTION:
In the wireless manager settings, i set my phone to 'ON', but it eventually changes to 'MEdia Net'.

Does this mean i'm connected to the internet??
Am I paying for this??!

please help

i don't want to have a huge bill on my shoulder.
