Silent Settings?

I just got the BlackJack and I am very satisfied. My only problem is that the silent setting disables sound but it vibrates. I like to keep my phone in my pocket at school and if a teacher hears it ring or vibrate, they have the right to take it away. Now on my old phone there was a vibrate setting and there was a complete silent setting. So if someone calls, it doesn't ring nor vibrate. Does this phone have this feature also? Thanks!

Yes, go into settings, profiles, and edit the Silent setting. You can set the Ring Type to silent.

you can set the ring type to silent, but many people aren't aware of the steps to make all calls AND SMS/MMS notifcations completely silent WITHOUT vibrating.

I came across this issue. I work for AT&T Mobility , and recently purchased a Blackjack. I work in an office and putting the silent profile was great except the buzzer, when vibrating, lasts nearly 5 seconds and is loud enough for the whole office to hear me.

Here are the steps to make your Blackjack completely silent. This includes voice and sms/mms and other notifcations..

If you go to Settings...Profiles...scroll down to Silent then click Menu then Edit...

Make sure you have these settings:

Ring Type: Silent
Ring Volume: Off
Alarm Type: Play Sound
Alarm Volume: 0
