Why not 8 Gig's in a N95-3?

So I just bought my black N95-3, and I love it, and I read the manual, and it says you can have memory up to 2gb's (swappable). So, my question is: I see that there is a 6gb micro SD card, and I have also seen an 8gb micro SD card. Can I put one if these into my N95 and get the max memory space, or will it only read up to 2 gb's?
Thanks.

Oh no, I know people who use the 6GB and it works fine. These phones will support up to 32GB.

I also own the N95-3. I spoke to a rep at the Nokia flagship in NYC. She told me that the max supportable memory will continue to increase with revisions to the firmware. When the device was released, it was 2GB cards. When we spoke, she said 4GB was the max, but it could well be 6GB now or more

The rep at the Nokia flagship in Chicago told me the 4GB party line, and I didn't argue with him, because I knew he was wrong. Once the support for High Capacity (the HC in SDHC) is available, there is no need for new firmware all the way up to 32GB. Any microSD card larger than 2 GB is a High Capacity card. The N95-3 (and the N95-1) are working with 6 GB microSDHC and with prototype 8 GB cards out of the box. Now that the 8 GB cards are officially our, the N95-3 and N95-1 will work with them, without a need for firmware upgrade.

Have you actually used a 4gig card on your own N95-3??? I'd like to know. And if so, does it take a long time for music to load?

Actually, I just got a new laptop just yesterday, and I am loading CDs onto it right this moment, and then putting them onto a 4gig card, I already have 202 songs on the memory card, and still have plenty of space left!!!

And with reguards to how long it takes, I can put up with 90 seconds, but anything more is a bit long.

When I put the memory card in for the first time, and click on songs, for it to display all the songs on the memory card.

The first time you put the card, you need to load the songs to the player. That may take a couple of minutes. After that, however, when you start the player the list of songs is displayed in about a second...

Yeah, I'm noticing that, so far, I only have 295 songs on there, and have a whole lot more work to do. I'm enjoying this phone, and am looking forward to future Nseries handsets, to see what Nokia improves.

Have you actually used a microSD card 4GB's or higher on your N95-3? I'd very much like to know, I should be recieving mine hopefully by Friday of this week, and that would be great to have a 4GB card, plenty for both music, and pix!!!
