Nokia has said several times that it is working on "a phone with similar features" for the US, to be launched sometime in 2007.

We've heard various hints from Nokia about the details. Some hints have been that this will be almost exactly the same phone, and coming "sooner than you think". Those were just intentionally vague hints, though.

Of course just because it's planned, doesn't mean it will actually launch. Cingular was supposed to launch the N80, too, and that got canceled. The N75 is supposedly still coming, but that's clearly been delayed quite a bit.

Speaking of which, I would assume that continued N75 delays would throw a bit a of a wrench into all of this year's planned Nokia launches with Cingular, especially when it com...

It's ironic that a company with aparently no love for the US 3g market would say that anything is coming 'sooner than we think' because i would think they'd have something 3g by now

Not to mention the disappointment of the 6282's failure to launch on Cingular as well.

What about any Nokia phones like this one coming to T-Mobile either for 2G or even their upcoming 3G service?

The latest rumor I heart, is that the N95 is supposedly coming to AT&T Q1 '08.

But I'm NOT WAITING anymore, I got an unlocked N95-3 on a website called cellpointonline for $572, not too bad of a price, I've seen it else for for $630-$650. I'm hoping to receive it this coming Friday.

AT&T/Cingular is known for delaying the best phones. The latest example is the Sony Ericsson K850, now I'm hearing not until March! ! ! ! ! !

If it's missing wifi, then there's no compelling reason to buy it from Cingular. I would hope that Nokia has this sense to not allow another exclusivity agreement like the one for the N75 and sell an unbranded/unlocked/wifi enabled version.

How do you have a phone you've never used? It hasn't even been released! But I doubt that T-Mobile would pick up this device. It seems to be a little too advanced for their blood. Once they establish their 3G network with their newly acquired 1700 spectrum something better will be out. For now, they can just wait on those 1MB EDGE speeds Sony Ericsson is working on.

Cingular is getting the iphone. When i said that i hate the iphone I meant that I don't like it. Though is preety nice. I don't like it. Meant by better features in a small device. 😛

I would buy the unlocked/unbranded version if it supports Cingular's 3G frequencies. If I'm stuck on EDGE, well.. I'll have to try it first...

We probably won't see Those EDGE Enhancements from Sony Ericsson for another 1-2 years at least. and even then, i think it requires an update to the phone.
