Nokia has conceded the US market

Nokia, the world #1 in cell phones, and a pioneer in 3g technology, has exactly 0 operational (1900mhz.) 3g phones for sale in the US. As a fan of Nokia's Symbian operating system, and of the quality build and performance of their phones, I have been long prepared to sacrifice a bit of Motorola style, or Samsung thinness for Nokia's ergonomic superiority. However, as Nokia continues to ignore the needs of the US consumer by not building 3g phones to US specs, I will no longer support them in any way (especially since Symbian OS is now available on a few other phones).

Nokia's execs have publicly diminished the forthcoming Apple iphone by rightly pointing out its lack of 3g (and I wouldn't buy that thing with just EGDE data either). If th...

According to CTI-Miami, they'll have the N75 and the N95 in stock on April 6th. Negri Electronics will have the N75 on April 15th. Is it folly to presume that Cing-Cing will release the N75 in April too?

I spoke to a security guard who's been working at one of the Cingular locations for years. To my amusement, she knows a heck of a lot more about how the company does its business than the actual Cingular staff. According to her, she's notices that the company releases new major merchandise 2X, maybe even 3X a year. In most years it done 2X: once in June and the other time is in August (or September). Between those times, a new, yet simple may filter through because they had to delay for whatever the reason.

Since the N75 as well as the iphone are so greatly anticipated (keeping in mind the the jury may still out on the N75, hopefully, Cingy will cave under the pressure), we should expect to see them at the same time.
