Yes! The BL-4b is much better! Just remember that this a phone first and then a little computer. If you remember that then you will enjoy this phone. If you surf the web, watch CV, then you can forget it! That is the same for all phones!

Hello,
Just got my N75 and it came with the BL-5BT which is 800 mA. Are you saying the BL-4B is better? Thanks.

I also raised this with AT&T today. They said you can go into a store and exchange BL-5BTs for another if you think you have an issue, but they weren't sure you could swap for a 4B. That said, it was interesting you mentioned defective. I had plenty of battery life on the phone when I laid it down last night. When I woke up this morning, the phone was off. I was positive I had left it on (unless there is a sleep mode I'm not aware of). Last thing.. so if the 4B is that much better, any good recommendations for getting a real one (forget Ebay counterfeits) for a decent price? Thanks again.

Just an interesting note BTW.. I used my Smart Charger (MAHA Electronics) which I use for all my LI-Ion batteries on the BL-5BT. It is slow charger, which can also fully condition batteries, etc. The BL-5BT took a full charge of 1160 mA.. That's almost 50% gain over the rated 800mA. Only issue is not convenient and takes longer. :-) Maybe having a second battery and swapping each day can work..

The battery issue just sucks! I carry two extra batteries and still I think it sucks. I may just drop this damn phone soon because what is the point of having all of these features when you can only use the phone for 1 to 2 hours. This is what really makess this phone suck.

So a quick discussion with Nokia netted little on the battery issue. I don't know if he was being intentionally evasive or not. First.. there is no replacement for the N75 listed online..none. You can't find the BL-5BT there anywhere.. that's because they are not offering it to the public to buy.. My question.. what if I want a second one as a spare.. Answer - Sorry nothing available. My question - What happens if it flakes out? Answer - Go to service provider to get a loaner, send to Nokia for a replacement battery. Which one I ask... BL-5BT is the answer.. So I say. Am I missing something here. You have them for repair, but not for purchase? Answer - Yes.. I say does that imply a newer N75 battery like the newer one for the N95...
