Cell broadcast! Battery!

I found that the new AT&T branded phone has cell broadcast. If you go to messaging then to settings then you will see it is quite different than the cingular branded version. I will let you know if I find anything else. But i suggest you go through warranty exchange asap because they will give you a brand new phone and all you have to return is the phone (you keep the battery and everything else) which in my opinion solves the battery issue.

I called them and talk to the cs rep to make sure and they said just turn in the phone. I called a couple of times to be sure and they said just the phone. Apparently the phone is so new they can only send out a new phone. You can ask for a warranty replacement on the battery as well. You should just do another warranty replacement and keep everything.

Tell me larue26, how long is the warranty on
the N75? Did you tell cs there was something
wrong with the phone to get the replacement?
What is 'cell broadcast?' Thanks.

1 year warranty! Plus the phone is covered by insurance. So if you drop the phone you are covered. I told the cs rep that the battery sucks, their is very little RAM (which they confuse with the memory card), also that the phone drops calls (which is true, the sim card does not stay in place, the full html web browser, and a whole bunch of stuff. I may ask for another replacement for at least two or three warranty replacements you can ask for another make or model of a phone. But I would only get a phone covered by insurance.
I still don't know what cell broadcast is but please go to wikipedia for some info. Hope taht helps.

Sometimes the people you talk to on the phone are straight idiots. I had a guy who kept confusing RAM with memory of the phone(my trans flash card). As soon as they say no or what you don't want to hear, the best thing to do is either hang up or start speaking another language because the person you are talking too is probably a level 1 CS rep. More experienced CS reps have more knowledge and access to making things happen. Your best thing is to ask CS Reps the following questions:
1. Where are you located
2. Their Name
3. How long have they work for AT&T
4. and if they are having a nice day

Hopefully this works!
