I am new to these threads--I am at the end of a Verizon contract and want to move to a quad band phone since I have to travel to Europe a number of times a year. I have a French number with a SIM card. I was attracted to the N75...but may wait for the coming E90. Check the phones on the Nokia French site... www.nokia.fr/ This is an organizer style like the one Cingular carried, but quad band with querty keyboard, wifi, and more. It is slated for a summer release in France...and possibly in the US. One more option!

If Engadget is right about the price: USD 750 to $800 for the E90

May I suggest you get a N75 (probably $200-$250 with a Cingular Contract, Branded/Locked) PLUS a E70 (around $450 Unbraded/Unlocked).

Thanks! I have a flight to New York tomorrow and I think I will carve out some time for a visit to the Nokia flagship store--I'd like to actually handle any devices I can before plunking down money. Though the price with contract is attractive, I am not sure I want to go with Cingular if I eventually gt the N75. Both of my kids have Cingular contracts and nether is happy with the coverage or the dropped calls. Again, thanks for the ideas!
