E-Mail notification Tone

Just got my Sync yesterday (did a trial on the CU 500 first, still deciding if I made the right choice). Anyway... setup my Yahoo account and at 1:30am I got an e-mail message with the phone making a ding ding ding noise. Woke husband and I up, not a good thing!

Is there any way to turn this off? The CU 500 didn't do this, which so far is the biggest plus of the CU 500!

I'm liking this phone, love the screen. Really wanted it for the internet and Cingular Video. Can't imagine why any bluetooth capable phone wouldn't have voice dialing, but the CU 500 didn't have it either.

Thanks for any help!

hmmm, probably because the carrier sells the voice dial service for extra money. If it came free with the phone, they wouldn't make much money off if the feature.

You will have to turn off the email notification in thru Yahoo on the phone. Open your Yahoo inbox. Click on options bottom right hand side. Scroll to email alerts and select disabled press OK. This phone does not have a voice dial option. I guess with all the other great features there was no room for it.
