Not everyone needs a handset that does everything. If all of Sprints handsets had every feature and top of the line they wouldn't sell to many of them. This phone will sell well because not a lot of people want a camera and its more of a tough phone than a lot of other sprint phones. If you are looking for a high end sprint phone wait a few more weeks for the likes of the Sanyo M1, and the Samsung M610

This phone is garbage, toidi.

Green keys, flunky old flip design, external antenna, grayscale external display, STN dispay, filthy looking front facia...Sanyo hit another one.

The best part of this is that it will sell like crazy. Its a kid based phone with rubber sides, parents will go crazy. No matter how much you think it is ugly, parents dont care about how it looks, just if its durable for there 12 year old.

If you notice, I never defended any of the features on this phone, I just said that a lot of people will like it because not everyone needs a phone that does everything.

I can tell you either are not a salesperson, or you are a very bad one... 95% of people don't care about MP3 players, watching TV or movies on their phone, etc... They just want a solid phone that works well, and that's what this Sanyo is. That's what almost every Sanyo is.

Is that why Sanyo had their US marketshare fall nearly 50% in the last year?

Yeah, since everybody just seems to love their designs (what people DO care about).

Ok, even if that is true, you would understand that there are more factors that would play into it.

In all reality, Sanyo didn't launch a high end phone last year (besides the 9000 and 7500 which had a very short life for both of them), and didn't launch many other handsets.

It sounds like you are one of those people that would buy a Samsung A900 and not have service standing next to the guy with the Sanyo 200 who has perfect service. But you'd be okay with that because your phone "looks cool". Different srokes...

I don't understand why people always have bad things to say about Sprint Sanyo phones. The truth is, Sanyo makes better phones than a lot of these other companies out. What will they say about the Sanyo M1 when its released?

That it is a very large phone that doesn't even have a TransFlash slot, while most other phones in it's class can carry 2GB cards.

Have to find something to b!tch about huh? People who have never had a Sanyo just don't understand. I've had everything from Motorola, LG, Samsung, Sanyo, Nokia, etc... Sanyo is hands down the best. But, if you've never had a great phone like a Sanyo, you would never know that your Samsung and LG phones aren't up-to-par. Not knocking the others, Sanyo just makes a great cell phone.
