Ringtones with Bitpim

To do ringtones with bitpim, you will first need the data cable that verizon sells. Install the drivers, install bitpim, connect the phone, start bitpim.

Bitpim will recognize it as "Other CDMA Phone".
Under the View menu, make sure "View FileSystem" is checked.
Next, in the category tree on the left, select file system. The root node should be someting like "/". Expand that and look for a new node titled "ff", then expand the one titled "brew" followed by "mod", and finaly "mr". In total, the path should appear "/ff/brew/mod/mr". On some phones the ff will be skipped so that it appears as /brew/mod/mr. The folder should have some mp3's (if there are any custom ringtones) as well as a MrInfo.db file. im lost like i was able to upload the mp3 file but after that im lost i dont get how u change the file mrinfo.dbe and also how do i know if is properly connected with my phone. On the bottom of the screen it says Other CDMA Phones on COM5-Detected. What does that mean? Is it properly connected? Please help me asap i want personal ringtones thats why i got this phone
