I have no idea why this would happen. I had the lg-8600 and had music on card, I just put card in U-740 and it read all the songs and played them. Try and reset Tool & Settings, Phone Settings, Security (put in code *lase 4 of phone number unless you changed it) and do a reset. This will not erase anything off phone, will just restore factory settings. Hope that helps.
Also how did you get on card, by using Music kit or just dragging them to card from computer?

i put the music on just by dragging the music onto the card. I took it into verizon and they couldnt seem to figure out what was wrong with it, so they erased everything on the card and put some new songs on it and it now works, i guess there was just a corrupt file or something, but thank you for your help

I also brought my phone back and fort to verizon but seems they can't figure out what wrong with the phone, but since I removed some songs then it plays music, so obviously this phone can't support 2GB, does anyone has play 2GB with this phone? if any of you have 2GB and its play normal then please let me know how do you do that, many thanks

If you go into "get it now" then music and tones you can select the sync music function. if you then open windows media player and go to the sync music function there, I think you have to have version 10. you then set up the music you would like on your card then sync the music. it should work just fine. I have the u740 and it work for me. you need to actually have a data cable to do this. if you dont have one i would get one off of ebay for a couple dollars.

Hi all, I have almost the same question, I have this phone for almost 2 weeks now, for the first week the music works fine, but on the second week it takes too long for "adding music to libary" and it reboot itself (turn off and turn back on by itself).
Does anyone has the same problem???
Does this phone really support 2GB??

If anyone knows or having the same problem please please please let me know.

many thanks
