Well, in that case I can see where your coming from especially if you use it as an alarm clock that would bother me too. I just returned a 9900 after going through 3 of them because if I put the phone in tones only mode and using voice dial I would have to press the end key 3 times to end the call or else it would just keep on being connected. I guess there is no perfect phone out there. Too many features are packed into these phones which is great for technology but bad for performance and reliability. I remember the Motorola Star Tac and Vader days where I bought one phone and never had to exchange it. I not only put the blame on the manufacture but more on Verizon's part because they don't test these phones thoroughly before releasing them and they certantly take their time in creating a software patch to fix the problem. I guess I have no choice but to keep my 740 and when something bigger and better comes along I can always complain about the defect your mentioning if they don't come out with a software update by that time I will just demand an exchange on a newer model. After all, paying top doller for service we all deserve perfect phones.
