What video formats can I play on the U740?
I loaded a .WMV file on my micro card and it says it cannot play, yet I can play just fine on my PC.
Thoughts ?

it is quite understandable that your PC would play many more formats than the camera can. Perhaps the following piece of information will let you convert your file to the 3g2 (short for the full 3GPP2 designation) file the camera understands. Apple's Quicktime can export a file (it can import) as a 3g2 file and I have successfully converted files as long as 90 minutes to my camera. Quicktime may joke, however, on WMV files produced with MS's version 10 of the Windows Player because MS's development for the Mac version stopped at version 9. However, I believe a PC owner indicated there might be a 3g2 converter for PCs on the WEB. See below for a description of the 3g2 standard:
