Calendar Glitch

Please help ... I live and die by my calendar. It's the only thing that keeps me on track at work and at home. The problem ... with this phone I could have something scheduled two weeks out, and the calendar icon stays lit on my main display. With every other phone I've had, once all tasks were completed, the calendar icon would go out. I've set the reminder to "on time" and even to "off" but that doesn't remedy the problem. Does anyone know of any settings to use so that damned icon disappears when all of the day's tasks are omitted / not scheduled? [short of not using the calendar at all]. Thanks!

I called Verizon and asked them if the problem was due to a software issue, and could a tech flash the phone. They told me that it's not a software issue, you could go into the menu of the phone and adjust the reminders so that you don't see the icon once the day's events are clear. I haven't been successful in finding a solution. I'm thinking it's just a story they told me 😕

Yes Angelfire, I have experienced the same level of customer service from VZW when I had a similar issue with my Moto V325. 😡 I also had an issue with the calendar icon staying on the bottom as well as a ring light issue (something the V325 has). Anyhow, I went to the store and showed the manager of the store the issue and he basically dismissed it. He said, until they get a memo from "Verizon Central" that there is an issue with a phone, then it doesn't exist! 👿

It wasn't until I received a software upgrade that came a few month's later that all my problems with the phone disappeared. I have been problem free since.

So down the road after enough complaints to VZW...and I also complained to Motorola, I found out not throu...

I'd like to add a word about the calendar.. The other day I was perusing the events of a past day. I decided to clear the entire days worth of events, since they were all history, and I saw no need to keep them as momorabillia, they just take up memory. So I hit CLEAR ALL. ...WHOOOOOA, was I in for a surprise.. EVERY CALENDAR EVENT FOR EVERY DAY IN EVERY MONTH IN EVERY YEAR HAD JUST BEEN ERRASED WITH ONE casual stroke..Carefull with that button, It really does mean ALL, not just all in that day !!!! Kadar

Maybe you should have clicked on "Erase Old?"

Thank you fredbillie. I was aware that the "errase old" option was available, but since I was in a menue that was (presumably) applicable to that day only, I got sloppy. Fortunatly it wasn't hard to reproduce the lost data... Under the "errase old" menue, we are given options... It's odd that we don't get one that allows us to errase anything that is in the past, even by a day or an hour... The best we are offered is to errase anything that is a week old or more. Kadar
