Analog reception?
Looking over quite a few references to the u740, I cannot find anything regarding its capability of analog reception. Does CDMA dual band accept analog signals or is something like the AMPS required? 👀

This phone is not analog. It is dual mode 850/1900 MHz. Any phone on the Verizon Wireless network that supports V-Cast can't and does not have analog. Analog Band is being retired on 02/18/2008 so don't expect alot of phone to support this in the future. Only good phone that VZW has right now that has analog are the lg-vx5300, Mot-V325I and the Sam-870. Hope this helps..

Thanks, I wasn't sure. I have an old LG vx8100. Went into the great unknown this week with it and ran into some analog and it made me think.... Out in the middle of almost nowhere, no sat phone... hmmmm..... If they are doing away with analog, does that mean that where there is currently analog only there will be nothing?? Thanks again!
