RF?

So does the RF suck as bad as Samsungs other internal antenna phones? I like this phone but the last few samsungs wouldn't work worth a crap were I work, seemed not to pull and hold a signal as well as lg and moto? I just wish they would have made this a different color then that gheto gold color 😕

Im with you. Nobody agrees with me though, about the crappy RF on internal sammys. I know people with Samsung a630s who hate them. Also, pretty much every entry level Sprint Samsung with internals.

The rf is actually pretty darn good. It's better than the a990 and similar to the a930 in terms of signal strength. But the phone is great to text with and it has wireless sync. Thats Brisk baby!

I owned this phone for 24 hours and compared to my wife's LG 8600 and the signal was very comparable.

I returned the phone because I received LOTS of misinformation regarding it's email / Outlook capabilities. I wanted to sych Outlook with my home and work PC and receive emails from POP accouts. Bottom line, don't count on it. (This was a Verizon problem, not the phones)

But for folks that want a good phone with a querty for text, I liked this phone. Yes, the querty was cramped, but for a 3.5 oz phone, what do you want?

The durability of the dual hinge remains to be seen. I think it would have been fine for me, but not someone thats rough on their phone.

I too wanted to use this phone (or another one that features Wireless Sync) to check my Outlook work email occasionally. I really don't need push email on this phone so much as to just to check when I have time or when needed (although push might be nice to try). I understood that this service is offered for a number of regular phones (not just smart phones or PDSs), sO I'm curious to know what happened when you tried it?

I responded to your email. You should be ok if all you want is email. It is the other Outlook funtionality and sync that you can't do. Wireless Sync for non-Smartphones is very basic. It will give you mail from a machine that is left on all the time, but not much else.

Thanks for the response, it was very helpful. I'll be getting a WM device later this year for full Outlook access and features, just nice to check email occasionally on a small slim phone. Is it actual push email, or would I need to check email occasionally by using a key function? Also, I didn't get an email from you. Did you send it to madavro@hotmail.com?

Thanks for the reply. When you hit the button, does the EnV go out and retrieve your email then display it, or does it just open up email that's already been pushed to your phone periodically? Also, are you referring to Outlook mail like you might have from work? And how does it appear on such a small screen? One email per screen or several "to/from/subject" listings? Thanks for any help re this. No one in any of the stores knows anything about wireless sync for non-smartphones. You can email me at mdavro@hotmail.com if that's easier.

630/9360/870 all those phones sucked in signal strength where I am at. We stopped selling them altogether. Now the walmart down the street sold a ton of sam 930 and I get people in here complaining all the time 😡

But I've heard good things about the 930. The only complaint I've heard from that model is that you can feel the springs in the flip when you close it.
