I am stuck between the m610 or the new Sanyo M1. Do any of you have a preference and why?

The more I play with the m610, the more I like it. I have only messed around with the M1 for a few minutes the other day. Was not impressed. Cheap plastic feel to it. I do not like the overall design. Yes, it has 1G of internal memory BUT only a small portion of of the internal memory can be used for downloaded ringers/screen savers/games/etc. (refer to M1 reviews on phonescoop. No external memory on the M1 either.

I prefer the m610. I found the M1 to be very cheap feeling as well. I thought the phone was ugly. The screen on the m610 is gorgeous. the phone is very user friendly and the "favorites" soft key is just what the doctor ordered. without looking at my phone, it gives you two pages of your favorites, fully programmable by the user. while driving last night, i turned on my interior car light and sent my wife a video message, via picture mail, a message letting her know i was on my way. oh, by the way, the rotating camera is nice. You can record/view yourself on your display, but its upside down. But what i didnt know(but my wife pointed out to me) is that you can press the side volume button and it will flip the picture right side up. V...

omg thank you for saying that, i thought the fact that it was still upside down was some kind of software glitch, that was really pissing me off. Also i saw that the manual says 1 gb, but if u say the 2 gb works ill probably upgrade my 512 with that. My only problem i have had with mine in the week i have owned mine is that its freezed up and restarted like twice, and that my battery seems to be loosing capacity reaall quick, it was good the first few days, but the last 2-3 with bluetooth on but very little use of it, 50/50 3g and ev-do, about an hour of talk time its just about dead before the end of the night. Id like to hear other peoples battery life before i write a review.

I got the 610 and I spent some time in florida last week with it where sprints signal SUCKS, so the phone was constantly searching for a network which killed the battery in under a day with little use, but now that I am back at home, it has settled down alot and so far I think the battery is actually quite good.

Another thing/question is that it seems like the on demand on the a900 is far superior to the one on the 610, why is this. The a900 has many more (around 12) categories where as the 610 has only 5?!

Also, thanks for the picture flip thing, thats really usefull
