perplexed by the conflicting reviews

I've had my 620 for about a week now and posted a somewhat negative review of it yesterday, due to reception issues, lack of Backup Assistant, ringtones and alerts that start at low volume and gain up to full, and some issues with the media player.

On the issue of the Backup Assistant in particular, several of you have reported no problems with it. Based on that, I called Verizon again today and they're still telling me it's not (yet) available for this phone. For those of you who have it working, could you check your software levels and respond here? (settings -> 9. Phone info -> 2. SW Version) My phone has:
Software V.U620.ZL14
PRL V.50768
ERI V.4
Browser NF3.0.22.2.3
Get it Now: V.3.1.4.65
Hardware: V.U620.06

Just wondering if there's a higher Software or GIN level that might explain the review differences, or for that matter, a higher hardware level with better reception.

I really want this phone to work out for me, and feel that most of the issues I'm seeing can/will be resolved.
