Touch screen quit working

My boss has a Palm Treo 750, and he says the touch screen has just quit working completely. This is difficult, since he is away on vacation but asked me to find out what he might be able to do to restore it. I don't have any other information.

Any tips or tricks he should try? Anyone else had that problem in the past?
