No Browser Option?

I just got my Blackberry Pearl yesterday, and I was looking through the menu and there is no Browser choice. On the walkthrough CD and even instructions included in the box, it says there is a browser option, but its not on my menu. Am I doing something wrong?

Also, When I try to set up my email, there is supposed to be 3 options to choose: Set up my own or create a new, Use a work email with enterprise server, and skip email setup. I have a problem since there is no use personal email or create new email option. Is that another problem?

I have T-mobile T-zones internet, just so everyone can use that as a reference.

When I got my Pearl it took BlackBerry about 24 hours before I could set up my email and browse the internet. Once that was done, the icons showed up auomatically. Does your phone say GSM in the upper right? When everything is registered and ready to go, that GSM will change to EDGE

I would give it time. Seriously, it took almost exactly 24 hours before I could set up the email an browse.

It says Edge in the upper right corner. So should I wait until tomorrow to see if the icons pop up? I figured they would have popped up when my service was activated. Will they pop up even if I have just T-zones internet?

Did you get the Unlimited BlackBerry feature on your phone. It runs $19.99/month. I think you need that for email and web.

I didn't get that. They said I could use the T-zones internet service and be fine. Have teh icons not showed up because I don't have the blackberry Feature?

I think that is your problem. After 24 hours I got the browser icon along with the email set up icon and My Favorite Five icons.

I would really suggest getting it. It is well worth it. I have all my email set up on it with the exception of my "online shopping" email address. In a lot of cases I get the email on my Pearl before it shows up on my computer.

Without sounding rude, why did you get the Pearl if you are not going to take advantage of the email and web?

Not rude at all, a legitimate question. I like the look and the feel of the Pearl, I just didnt realize I needed the special package to get everything I needed. I was told I could use T-zones. Can I just change that online somehow? Or do I have to call T-mobile?

Go to MyT-mobile.com, login and go to plan & services. Once there, you will want to add "BlackBerry Unlimited Add-on". It's $19.99 and month. It's so worth it.

Yeah U had the same problem (with Cingular) and it was because when I got the phone I had not added a data plan. As soon as I did the Globe appeared upon restarting the phone.

I have had the data plan with my previous plan, and I sill don't get the Globe. I am with Cingular. I'm still switching back and forth between an old phone and the Blackberry. I'm so frustrated with my phone, I am ready to send it back.
