That is the cheapest way unless you want to pay for the picture pack or buy a data cable which will cost you more than the card. If all you are doing is transferring pics to the phone and don't have 500 pictures then a small card like 128 or 64 meg should be fine and can be bought for $5 or under at most places. If you want larger storage you can get 1 gug cards for between $20 and $30
