When is Shine coming out?!!!

shine

Mar 10, 2007, 12:25 PM
Can't wait for that phone!!
I saw the VX8700 or something.. that "flip-type" shine. Hate the look of that phone...
Perhaps bartype or slider type looks SO MUCH better.. but VX9400 looks pretty good! I'm excited about the screen quality. 😛

I don't think it's coming until late October. Sorry. 😕
I can't wait for it either. We've sent notices to our LG rep so he is going to let us know as soon as he gets a release date. I'll try and keep you posted.

Really?! Why thank you!! 🙂
I know it's not for sure, but still I get some idea! At least the bar type or slider type is coming to US, right?
Do you know if Verizon's getting it? If not, I won't have to wait...

Thanks a lot for the information again. Please keep posting new infos! 😛

Yes Verizon is for sure getting the shine...it will replace the VX8600 but it is not a bar or a slider like you have seen on the shine thats overseas it is going to be a flip phone that is basically built exactly like the 8600 but it is not black it will look like the shine it will be all brushed silver metal...i saw this phone at our kickoff for verizon and it looks really nice but i was bummed too that they did not keep the slider version of it!

The flip Shine (VX8700) is set for the second quarter of this year. The ke970 (the original Shine) like I said, I believe is coming to Verizon around the end of October.
LG also has the ke850 all touch screen phone. That's the phone I'm excited about. There are 2 versions of the phone and one of those versions is running Windows Mobile 6.0. The release date on the ke850 should be around the same time as the Shine.

P.S. You're welcome and I will let you know when more info comes my way! 😎

The original Shine is supposed to be coming to Verizon at the end of October or early Novemeber. Not the flip Shine, the real one.
That's all I know right now.

Here are pictures of each phone I was talking about.

Thank you very much for the info! You're awesome. 😎

I'm so sorry to say this, but is your info reliable? I mean, is it from a reliable source or is it some kind of made up rumor?

If the SLIDER SHINE is coming out for Verizon this year and if it's guaranteed, I'm definitely waiting... 🙂

Don't be sorry. You have every right to be skeptical. I get my information based on reliable sources, my own research, and yes a bit of rumor.
Most of the things I research start out as rumors and become real after a matter of time. I just try to get my hands on the information before it actually becomes legitimate.

You're welcome very much. 😁

Yeah, but which one. By the way, I think C-Net tested this. Said the buttons were very hard to press and texting was horrible.

I read the the slider is only overseas and we are not going to get it. Just regular one and possibly flip. They get all the good stuff, we get the crap.

That's KE750. I believe it is launched in Europe right now. According to the source that I have heard in January, US was supposed to get the bartype first in 1 or 2nd qt of 2007, but I don't know what happened.. however what I want is SLIDER TYPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🤣

Okay everyone, I am going to say this one last time. (Hopefully 😉 )

The LG VX8700. This is the FLIP version of the Shine. The release date for this phone is set for sometime in July. It has the Verizon logo right on the front so there is no question as to what carrier it's going to sell under. The VX8700 also just showed up on our phonebook transfer list which means a release date is close by.

Secondly, the KE850. This is the LG phone with full touch screen, Windows Mobile 6.0, and is designed partly by Prada. The launch date for this phone is set for late October to early November. There are both CDMA and GSM versions of this phone so we know Verizon will be getting at least some of them.

Lastly, the KE970. This is the SLID...
