Im not too impressed with this t629

1.Black t809 > silver t629 (kinda reminds me of my razr been there done that)

2. b809igger screen w/t > smaller screen t629

3. from reading doesnt look like they fixed vibrate and ring. so its only fair for me to assume they havent fixed the ascending ringtone problem

4. so it has bluetooth headphones thats cool BUT it doesnt work (based upon my reading)

5. the t629 does come with a battery that last .7 hours longer.....*shrug*

looks like i'm just getting what i already have w/ smaller screen

I owned an T809 and sent it back. The 629 Bluetooth works! It also adds voice dialing capability which the 809 lacked. The T629 doesn't make it difficult or impossible to use mp3's as ringtones. You do not have to rename them. This phone is really just the sucessor to the 809.

keep the 809. this phone compared to the 809 in my opinion blows.

a puny 21mb of internal memory, when i put my 4-5 ringtones on it, it shrinks to about 13mb. screen isnt as good. video capture stinks. when viewing pictures you cant zoom in on them.

only supports 100 mp3s and doesnt play anything over 192kbps. the front face keypad is better but the numbers stink. when typing in a to do list or whatever on your calendar you cant use T9 predictive text, because when trying to scroll through the letters it moves to different text boxes. this phone is terrible...and i'm stuck with it till 2008

I wholeheartedly agree with BuffaloBill. This phone is a disgrace for Samsung in terms of customization. I have a SonyEricsson from Europe to compare it with, and that one allows you to change every little setting of the phone to your liking. Stick with your 809 and wait for a decent phone! ...I'm stuck with it till 2008 as well 😢
