How is the GPS used
I've never used GPS on a phone before and am interested in the BB because of it. Do I need to get third party software to use it? I know Sprint has a plan for $10/month or something like that that I need to have, but what else do I need? Thanks.

With Sprint you can download Blackberry Maps for free which gives you turn by turn directions. It just doesn't give you the voice prompts like TelNav does. So the question you need to ask yourself is: Do I need the voice telling me which way to turn? I've got an in-car GPS that is great, but since I've got the 8703e recently, I really don't need the in-car. I used it in Maui recently and it actually worked better than my portable GPS I got for the car. There's also Google map that gives turn by turn directions but doesn't utilize the GPS to tell you when you've got to your next turn, you have to hit "next". I really like my 8703 and wouldn't trade it. I've had the 7510,7520, and 7100i, and this one is definitely the best. Don't hesit...

I have an 8703 on VZW and everytime I attempt to use the GPS service it says "unable to lock". Location is on. Does anyone have a remedy for this? Thanks for any help.
