I've never once had a problem with the iDEN network. My Nextel makes voice and PTT calls when I need it to. That's all anyone can ask for. No carrier is perfect, not even Verizon.

yes, but in comparison to all of the other networks in the continental US... Iden is crappy, old technology. Now i understand that where you are Iden might be Cellular Gold, but in the big picture, nextel's coverage does not even compare to lets say a CDMA network or GSM.

But does it really matter if it's old technology, as long as it WORKS? Nah..... iDEN was designed for instant PTT. CDMA or GSM still can't beat it. Remember, Nextel started as a dispatching company. I guess in the world of NEXTEL this is considered a Sweet phone. I love design and when I first saw it I thought, "This is ugly". Maybe ugly is to strong. It looks bulky to me. I work for Cingular but I have to say that the flip version of the LG Chocolate that was leaked is SWEET....that is a nice looking phone. I don't mean to DOG Nextel....it's about asthetics for me.

Heck, I'd go back to AMPS if I could get a signal in my steel office building.

That will happen, once the ic402 and ic502 come out to the rest of the people. I wouldn't mind getting one of the Hybrid phones myself. I like IDEN for the two-way, but CDMA for everything else is alot better in my opinion.
