Motorola i880 / i885

The little, thin, black piece of plastic that covers over the charger access on the bottom of my i880 will not stay closed. It is always flopping around, and it is driving me insane not to mention probably allowing dust, debris, what-not in. Anyone else have this problem? Can it be replaced easily? Why they changed the design on this from other Motorolas I have had with the same charger is beyond me.
