Sanyo versus Samsung

Hi! Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the differences in quality between Sanyo and Samsung cell phones.
I'm comparing the Sanyo 6600 Katana and the Samsung M500 and seem to find a lot of people on Cnet review saying that Sanyo in general builds better quality phones than Samsung.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers!

My Samsung hardly made it a year. My Sanyo 8100 is now 3 years old, and still works like new, this even after soaking in the dog's water dish. Just my experience.

Thanks for the info! I'm in Canada and the Samsung m500 just came out this week so there's no reviews on it. I just want to get a new phone (I'm much overdue)...but researching is so necessary. Wish it didn't take so long!
anyways, thanks for replying.

If you keep the Samsung as a normal person (no dropping and abusing) it should last you for 1-2 years without a problem. Then you'll get a new phone anyway, aren't you? 🤭

In general, the Samsungs are more feature packed than Sanyo. Examples include, the ability to customize the "Launch" keys, thats the 4 directional buttons which surrounds the OK/Menu button; or speed dials which some Sanyo phones only accepts up to 10 speed-dials, while Samsungs usually takes up to 99, Also the feel of Samsung phones is better and lighter.
