please dont buy this phone
this phone is horrible. it has long lag time and freezes constantly. if you are smart wait for the 8800.

This thing looks like a piece of poop with an LCD screen in it. It's ugly as ****. I wouldnt use it even if they gave it to me for free. Im gonna wait for the cingular 8525...

Well, then I will take your's! Personally I'd love to own this phone, and I actually plan on getting one. As for the 8525, I understand your sentiments, but I cannot yet justify the rumored $475 with a two year contract, just for an overclocked MDA with a better key board layout.
Guess We'll have to just wait to see!
...
I have read that its in the range of $200-300, depending on how many years your contract is for.

Ive been using this phone for a few weeks an its a nice device. An Tmo is not gonna be sellin it for 475, it will be in the range of the mda.

Most normal people (not us) can and wont spend 300 dollars every 6 months to stay fresh with cell phone technology. Those are people 90%(value not to be taken literally) of the cel...

What's with "PLEASE don't buy this phone". Do you actually have this phone? Haven't seen any negatives about hangups or lag times in any reviews. Are you speaking from experience 'cause it's not even out yet!

ive had the phone for a while. ill concede that it may just be my phone and hopefully the release models will not have that horrible lag time that ive seen. Like ive said i have not seen anything that would make me leave my 8700. I actually paid almost full price for my 8700 so im not biased in anyway whatsoever
