What's wrong with CDMA PTT, the same thing that's wrong with Cingular and Verizon PTT.. it's called lag time... there is a 1-6sec relay delay between pushing the button, opening a channel and reach your intended contact.

In theory, it's VoIP PTT, but with the overflow on the Data Network, it's at the mercy of capacity and user tendencies.

iDEN PTT, it a fully dedicated 800 (for WiDEN 900) RMS network that has NO other traffice going over it when using the PTT.. the voice quality issue with the Cell service is that you have to route voice through a separate network system which routes through a switch which regulates Voice, Data and PTT...
