For the time being, its an iDEN device as far as Sprint is concerned, so you have to have an Nextel account to get it. Depending on the plan you're on, you can just leave the PTT as a pay-per-use feature and just use the phone part. The Nextel plans are for all intents and purposes exactly the same as Sprint's, so I don't see why you couldn't use it without the PTT.
So say you are going to be a new customer, its a good way to go if you don't care about EVDO, still want good CDMA voice and have the option of PTT, do you agree?

Qchat will be in 08 so that will be a year so they need to slowly bring over those customers to the CDMA network so that it will be an easier switch.
