UMTS or HSDPA

will this phone have HSDPA or UMTS, cuz if it has UMTS ill pass, cuz i was considering this phone

UMTS and HSDPA or both the same and different, UMTS is the initial infrastructure supporting voice and data, HSDPA is an upgrade to the UMTS network to provide faster data connection speeds

maybe you guys never attented your data basics workshop, but umts falls under the umbrella of hsdpa. ask your trainer

HSDPA is UMTS, but it's definitely not all the same thing.

HSDPA is an upgraded, faster version of UMTS. Therefore, since the CU400 does not have HSDPA, the data connection is much slower than on an phone with HSDPA.

as gatito97 explained umts is a form of hsdpa. it falls under the umbrella of hsdpa. and who said i was arguing with rich. i was arguing with the guys who started this thread. everything you all have been saying is the same thing i said only decribed better. back off

Sort of. I would put it the other way around: HSDPA is a form of UMTS. it falls under the umbrella of UMTS.

You can have UMTS without HSDPA, but not vice-versa.
