Samsung SGH-C417 / C416
C417 Headset jack stopped working ...
Hi. My wife and I both have SGH-C417s (mine is black, my wife's red) and last month we purchased two (wired) headsets.
The problem is that the headsets just recently stopped working - we don't use them that often so it was probably last week when we last used the headsets and today (Feb 18, 2007) BOTH stopped working. Actually they "sorta" work but when you call someone they emit a continuous annoying BEEPING SOUND and are utterly useless because of this.
Has this happened to anyone else? Or are we the only cheap ones not using bluetooth with this phone?
NOTE: the headset jack on this phone requires a 2.5mm FOUR connection headset (which is very hard to find - most 2.5mm are THREE connection). If you plug a 2.5mm THREE headset jack into the C417 you get a similar annoying beeping sound.
