Motorola Phone Tools and the Maxx Ve

I have the Motorola Phone Tools program, and it recognizes when I attach my phone to my computer, but it won't install it or even recognize the type. It let me pick from a list, and the Maxx Ve wasn't even on it, yet it's the most up-to-date list from Moto. My computer itself picks it up, though; when I first plug it in one of those bubbles pops up and says "New hardware detected - Maxx Ve".

Has anyone been able to actually hook this phone to the computer and get it to work?

Yes. Moto Phone Tools v4.51c does NOT contain the Maxx Ve profile!! i.e. the detect.inf no longer lists Maxx Ve. It is there in v4.36c, but GONE in v4.51c!!! DO NOT UPGRADE TO v4.51C

It's there in an older version? I wonder if Verizon put up a fuss or something? I think the one I have must be the newer one, because I just got it. 😕

I emailed Motorola about it, and I just got an email back from them stating that the Maxx Ve is not supported by the Phone Tools. If that is the case they really need to state that on there website, because when you are looking at the VE, on the side where they advertise "get accessories", Phone Tools is one of them.
😡
I'll have to look for the older version...

Using the older version it works, most of the times..
Not found on latest.. so everytime th ePC ask to go online and update I have to say cancel.

I have used both the USB and also the BT connections. When it works, it works great with the calendar and the phonebook... my goal was to syn the calendar with my outlook at worok.

Manually configure the Maxx as a K1mm and it will work with everything, including the MultiMedia Studio.
