Unfortunately, I don't think so. I've never tried the "rotating the phone" solution you've described above, but I've tried everything else to try to eliminate this irritating quirk without success. If you have read previous threads on the camera you will also find that pictures taken at the highest resolution, 1600 X 1200, will show in your gallery, but if you try to view them full screen you will get a fractured (torn picture) icon. I emailed Motorola to complain, but got no response.
