I am getting a new phone this weekend and am leaning hard to the MOTORAZR maxx Ve. I have read most all on this forum as well as thoghts from other reviewers on other websites. Just curious to know a few things from those who already have...

1. Is vibrate mode strong?

2. Is earpiece really nice and loud?

3. Should I wait for a software patch for any known bugs?

4. Should I wait for the new Razrs coming out later this summer?

Many thanks for any help!

1. Vibrate is very strong - I have to turn in to less than high.

2. Earpiece is the loudest and clearest I have had. Usually, I have to turn a phone to the highest setting and then still have problems. Maxx I can turn down and still hear it - very clearly.

3. That is up to you. I got mine the first day they came out - did 2 *228 updates - and haven't had any issues.

4. That is up to you. If you don't need a phone right now, you can wait or switch....

Grover--
I tried the Maxx, and didn't care for it much. It does have a pretty good Vibrate mode, and speakerphone isn't bad. But, the Krzr looks much more refined, and built better, and is lighter.
If I were you, I'd try to wait for the Razr 2, which is supposed to be thinner, lighter and stronger, and have lots more battery life. You might have to wait months for it, though. Check out the Krzr if you can't wait that long. I've used the Krzr for months now, and I really like it.

Richard-

Thanks for your comments. Much appreciated. I will look at both. I also am considering waiting for the Razr 2 to come out. Hoping it will be later this Summer and not deep into the Fall!

1.Yeah the Vibrate is really strong .. also you can have it vibrate and ring at the same time if you need to.
2. Only used the earpiece once and it was pleanty loud for me.
3. I bought mine about a month ago now and it works great for me ... its up to you if you want to wait for the software patch or not.
4. As for the new razrs coming out... they are scheduled for asia this July. The US later his fall. BUT the US has put a ban on all new cell phones coming into the country using the Qualcomm chip. If the carriers and Phone suppliers don't work something out the new Razr could be a long way off before coming to the US.
