Get It Now does not work!
Ok, so I went to pick up this phone last night (with my dad, my contracts not up till May 15), and I had him get this phone.
In order to move the contacts, I downloaded the backup assistant to his old phone before we went to the store, so I could download it to the new one, and ta-da, have the contacts in a few seconds...
Anyway; leave the store, and GIN DOES NOT WORK!
We go back to the store, the sales guy was a freaking idiot... he plays with it for over 10 minutes, I mean while test the demo in the store (which makes calls, and recieves them) and.. SAME THING, GIN does not work...
I figure its software or something; but c'mon verizon, I'm loosing the faith by the second!

I've seen this comment before on Howard Forums too. The fact that Get It Now works on some phones and not others is definitely not a SW defect in the phone otherwise none of the Ve's would work. My guess is that when you switch service from an ESN phone to the Ve (uses the new 14 digit MEID number) apparently the voice call service switches without a glitch, but the Customer Service people don't realize that they have to remove and then re-add all your data services to get them to work...this is a Verizon training problem and not a phone problem.

Both the Vz rep & tech support folks told me after much discussion that "wireless sync" is not available on the Maxx or LG8700 or LG8600.
