I heard a rumor from another website that this phone has "video calling" capability at 15 frames per second. Would that be true, or has verizon handicapped that feature too like bluetooth?

one would think that would be a selling point for verizon and would be used in advertising the phone if that were the case. if it was a factory feature, vzw more than likely disabled it....

Are you sure that wasn't the maxx V6? The V6 is a 3G phone for Europe / Asia that definitely has video calling. It looks extremely similar.

The Ve isn't capable of true face-to-face video calling, since there is no internal-facing camera like there is on the V6.

In theory, it could support video sharing like Cingular recently launched, but I don't think any CDMA carrier like Verizon plans to offer anything like that until EVDO Revision A phones are available. Revision A boosts the upload speed, making services like video sharing more feasible.

Sure glad you're on this thread, Rich.

I just got a Maxx today, and with you around, I'm sure to learn.

Thank you!
