I have several issues related to using the phone as an MP3 player, either in bluetooth stereo mode or with stereo earphones, as follows:

A. phone locks up after either using text-messaging or telephone features when in MP3 mode, requiring removal of battery - both in bluetooth mode, and also wen using earphones;
B. earpiece loses right-side sound after stopping MP3 player to send a text message, then restarting MP3 player;
C. in bluetooth mode, cannot return to MP3 player after placing a call using bluetooth mode. works okay when receiving a call (and bluetooth returns to MP3 after call), but not when placing a call;
D. extremely low volume thru earphones when in MP3 mode, so bad that you actually cannot hear low-volume songs at all

You should have returned the phone for a new unit before you even reviewed the phone. For all you know, you just gave a poor rating when you could have had a dud. Of course you should return it for another before you do anything. That's one of Verizon's best policies that should be taken advantage of until you're completely happy.

I just want to point out that the phone being a mediocre MP3 player does not make it a bad phone. A phone does not deserve a 2 star rating when it functions beautifully as a phone but is a less than desirable mp3 player. The mp3 player is fluff. You should be reviewing the phone itself. You didn't leave a single comment about the phone. Because of this, it's assumed you were 100% happy with the phone fea...

Two sides I suppose.. if I pay more for a phone than I would for a normal making-calls-device, and it's advertised to be a do-everything device, I expect it to be able to DO everything that's being flaunted. Making the "it's a phone" argument is fine for the camera lacking, non-memory card having, basic kids/poor phone.. but with every company trying to make devices that converge for less clutter, it's not as arbitrary to expect those features (pumping the phone up to $200 AFTER contract) to actually WORK.

On the other side, yes... the reviewer could have taken more about the phone into account.

Also, moto's os sucks. The menus blow, iTap is garbage, and buttons/features don't correspond the way common sense would dictate.

I've owne...

So, what happens if return the phone for a replacement (citing the "bugs" I've listed) AND the replacement still hs issus. As the previous writer mentioned, maybe Verizon or Moto will come out with an "update." Does anybody know what Verizon's policy is on providing "updates" to existing customers? Ir is tha even possible without replacing the physical phone.

A couple ofreaders said that I didn't say anything positiveaboutthe phone. Well, if you read my review, Iactually did. The problem is, as the recent writer concurred, I bought this phone with he express intention ofusing it as a wirelss MP3 player -- basically 1/2-1/2. Maybe I had my head in the clouds thinkingthis was possible, but WHY WOULD THEY ADVERTISE such a beast if is a ...
