SD Card Compatibility

Hello...love my moto. I've only got a couple of mp3's which I dl'd thru the phone, but not iTunes or wma. I'm with Metro.

My question: Does anyone know whether a 2gb card is compatible? Is there truly a 100 song limit regardless of card capacity? If so, can the remaining storage space be used for video and photos?

Thanks for the info! 🙂

Please note: I am currently using my 2gb card; however, it would appear that when I formatted the card in the phone, only 1gb of available memory was indicated. Works fine, though.

I heard that it can take 2 gigs (at least the VZW version can).

It's advertised as being able to use up to 512mb, but many have used 1gb size. Haven't seen anyone claiming to use a 2gb full capacity yet. The Cingular version with iTunes has 100 song limit, the MetroPCS version with Motorola MP3 has no such limit, it can access as many as you can hold. Found NewEgg to have very good prices on 1g, TigerDirect was a bit higher. Retailers are charging almost double.
